Obiettivi formativi

Apprendimento dei meccanismi fisiopatologici alla base delle principali patologie renali. Comprensione delle possibili applicazioni di tecniche biotecnologiche in quest'area di ricerca.

To acquire knowledge of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the development of renal diseases and to learn about the potential applications of biotechnological techniques in this area of research.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi

Students, with the help of the instructors and the support of the material provided during lessons, come to understand some cutting-edge topics in their field of study, such as the mechanisms of renal damage progression, dialysis replacement therapy, and kidney transplantation.

The application of the provided knowledge supports, sustains, and helps resolve issues related to the pathophysiology of renal function within the broader clinical context of acute and chronic kidney disease, understood as problems of significant social relevance and economic impact on a global scale.

Tools are provided to collect and interpret relevant data on kidney diseases derived from the real world, in order to integrate already acquired knowledge and manage the complexity of a rapidly evolving epidemiological reality.

Students develop communication skills on the major topics covered (pathophysiology of kidney diseases, acute and chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and transplantation), to effectively communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions with both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

The course of study leads individuals to become specialists in the field, with the biotechnological skills necessary to attend further courses of study with a high degree of autonomy and judgment
