Obiettivi formativi

L'insegnamento permette l'apprendimento delle conoscenze di base per la valutazione economica delle start up biotecnologiche e per la realizzazione del business plan.

The teaching has the goal to make able the student to evaluate research results exploitation paths feasibility as start-up, to draft a business plan and to evaluate and understand already existing start-ups.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi

Al termine dell’insegnamento lo studente acquisisce gli strumenti di base per comprendere la logica delle valutazioni economiche delle start up nonchè dei problemi, sia di ordine generale sia specifici del settore biotech, legati alla redazione del business plan. In particolare lo studente acquisisce competenze di base sulle problematiche di valutazione tecnologica di una idea imprenditoriale e sulle problematiche marketing legate al settore.

Expected outcomes of the teaching are the capability to understand the logic of market and economic evaluation of start-ups and the ability to identify and apprehend general and biotech sector specific problems linked to the business plan drafting and to the business plan presentation of investors. The student will acquire also basic skills in innovation management, technology evaluation of an entrepreneurial idea and on marketing sectorial problems.

1.  Le imprese biotecnologiche in Italia.
2. Differenza tra ricerca, invenzione ed innovazione come elemento di avvio del business plan.

I business plan nelle scienze della vita a cosa servono, a chi sono indirizzati.
Gli elementi chiave del business plan nel biotech:

  • il team;
  • il mercato ed il concetto di "nicchia";
  • la tecnologia ed il concetto di "tecnologia difendibile";
  • le modalità di accesso al mercato.
  • Il concetto di business model.
  • Innovation Management e Project management.

La presentazione del business plan: come presentare la propria idea.
La valutazione del business plan: il concetto di due diligence.
Il concetto di way-out.

3. Come valutare il business e la futura impresa:

  • l’economicità del business e la Break Even Analysis;
  • come decidere i prezzi dei prodotti;
  • le previsioni economiche e finanziarie (c/e e cash flow).

4. Da start up a impresa:

  • le analisi della performance di impresa sui dati del bilancio annuale; 
  • l’organizzazione aziendale. i principi generali riferiti alle imprese;
  • la pianificazione strategica e lo sviluppo dell’impresa.

5. Start up e imprese biotecnologiche, nozioni di base per la redazione del business plan.

  • cost effectiveness of the business and Break Even Analysis;

  • economic and financial forecasts (Income Statement and cash flow).

  • the performance analysis of the business data on the annual financial statements;
  • the organization and the general principles relating to the businesses;
  • strategic planning and business development.

5. Start up and biotechnological companies, basic notions for the business plan realization.
